This was the last day of our trip. The night before, we had driven about 6 hours to return to Vegas. It was around 9 o’clock when we got back to town. We wanted to go to Chinatown to grab some snacks and drinks, thinking that everything would be closing soon. To our surprise, there were a lot of people out and about. We bought some pastries from a shop called 85°C Bakery Café, and it was packed with people. We had the pastries and sweets for breakfast.
In the morning, we visited a place called Seven Magic Mountains. It was a fun spot to hang out for a while, especially great for taking pictures. After that, we had lunch at Mandalay Bay hotel and spent some time playing in the casino. Our friend Nan joined us again for dinner at a Japanese buffet called ITS SUSHI. It was a really good place, one of the best sushi buffets I’ve had in the past few years. After dinner, we headed to a local casino called The Orleans. Back at home, I used to play Texas Hold’em for fun, and Nan played the game as well. So, we found a table and played Ultimate Texas Hold’em for a few hours. I ended up winning a little bit, not a lot of money but a lot of fun, especially when you have friends to play with. We wrapped up the night by trying our luck on the slot machines. We didn’t win anything, but it was a good time.
The next morning, just before catching our flight back home, we tried In-N-Out Burger since there’s no store near where we live. I really liked it; the meat was fresh, and the burger tasted really good.
For our flight back home, since we had a not-so-great experience on the trip to Vegas, we purchased early check-in through the Southwest App. It cost $60 per person, and I was assigned to the A group. This decision made a real difference because we were able to sit in the emergency exit row with just two seats side by side. The flight was again quite full, and we were really glad that we had purchased the early check-in pass.
Our week-long vacation has come to an end, but the wonderful memories will last forever.
